You are looking at a
Antique Chinese Bronze Silk-Ironing Pot
.
Hot sand would be poured into the pot and the smooth base would run over the silk threads.
It’s 9.5 inches in length with the handle, 6 inches in diameter at its widest point.
The handle has a band that I believe is
jade at the end.
It’s an antique piece, in great condition for its age.
It’s heavy for its size, a little over 2.75 pound.
The physical and cosmetic condition is great as per the pictures.
